<br />
Not having been around for some time, it was time to catch up.<br />
<br />
Curious things popped out as Ducky reviewed Moore's published charts.<br />
<br />
In September, Moore went for a DEXA scan on 9/13. On that date, the machine registered his weight as 260.7 pounds.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VQmdLbOOIqc/UO4F-VxZAgI/AAAAAAAAAA8/sLLZpKgRzFc/s1600/dexa.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VQmdLbOOIqc/UO4F-VxZAgI/AAAAAAAAAA8/sLLZpKgRzFc/s1600/dexa.jpg" height="49" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What happened in the days following the scan?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pWefz_k0nz4/UO4GItBjYMI/AAAAAAAAABE/9lLhh5PAhsQ/s1600/septweight.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pWefz_k0nz4/UO4GItBjYMI/AAAAAAAAABE/9lLhh5PAhsQ/s1600/septweight.jpg" height="248" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Do you notice something curious?<br />
<br />
Ducky sees a trend following the scan, a trend where Moore gained weight aggressively within a few days.<br />
<br />
What happened to Moore's ketone levels?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wBTwookiyrE/UO4GcUod_WI/AAAAAAAAABM/97I1i97cl8k/s1600/septketone.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wBTwookiyrE/UO4GcUod_WI/AAAAAAAAABM/97I1i97cl8k/s1600/septketone.jpg" height="248" width="320" /></a></div>
They too went wildly high quickly.<br />
<br />
What might cause that trend you might ask? Dehydration for the scan, rehydrate after with lots of fat added to meals.<br />
<br />
What happened in November?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0KY4eMSGFYw/UO4GxvnJJGI/AAAAAAAAABU/j66hwOnyRbk/s1600/novweight.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0KY4eMSGFYw/UO4GxvnJJGI/AAAAAAAAABU/j66hwOnyRbk/s1600/novweight.jpg" height="248" width="320" /></a></div>
Much less gain a couple of days later, followed by sustained losses before a slight rise back up and then down.<br />
<br />
How about those ketones?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-62KVL6NaUFI/UO4HT_Vo31I/AAAAAAAAABk/UEeUGRP2GhE/s1600/novketone.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-62KVL6NaUFI/UO4HT_Vo31I/AAAAAAAAABk/UEeUGRP2GhE/s1600/novketone.jpg" height="248" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tUyFDVtbWUk/UO4HGUOEMnI/AAAAAAAAABc/drkAwgCQz4o/s1600/septketone.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a></div>
Oh snap! Moore fell out of ketosis following his DEXA.<br />
<br />
What might cause that you might ask?<br />
<br />
High intake of water along with carbohydrate to replenish glycogen, which would lead to a slight increase in weight, which would then begin to quickly come back off once carbohydrate is once again limited.<br />
<br />
Well, if nothing else, it's one way to cheat a DEXA and make it appear you gained muscle, isn't it? Now Ducky cannot say for sure whether this is what Moore did, but it looks like something happened with the scans.<br />
<br />

My manager at Ultimate Exercise was
contacted multiple times asking me for an interview. Dr. Duke described
himself as a history professor at the American University in England.
He stated that he conducted interviews that were used as content at
various high quality websites and blogs. He billed himself as a
supplier of content for news sites, and blogs and that he focused on
cutting-edge content relating to politics, science and economics. I
told my manager that I would not give an interview until I could see
examples of his work. He provided links to a few interviews and
articles at various websites that gave no indication of anything
untoward. I agreed to do the interview. I did not find out I had
granted an interview with THE Dr. David Duke until a few weeks later
when someone I had done a consult with about a year prior, left a
voicemail saying how much he enjoyed the interview and gave the name of
the website. My wife and I were on the way to pick the kids up from
school when I got this phone call. My wife was driving, so I looked up
the website on my i-Phone. When I figured out what had happened, I felt

<br />
The tu quoque fallacy is committed when it is assumed that because
someone else has done a thing there is nothing wrong with doing it. This
fallacy is classically committed by children who, when told off,
respond with “So and so did it too”, with the implied conclusion that
there is nothing wrong with doing whatever it is that they have done.
This is a fallacy because it could be that both children are in the
wrong, and because, as we were all taught, two wrongs don’t make a
right.<br />
<br />
Do you see the logical fallacy here, in his title?<br />
